Mark W. Gaither

I am an author, teacher, speaker, collaborative writer, and theologian.

Following a fifteen-year career as an engineer, I earned a Master of Theology degree at Dallas Theological Seminary, where I discovered a love for teaching and writing. After graduation, I served as the director of creative ministries and writer for Insight for Living, the radio ministry of Chuck Swindoll. During this time I also assisted Dr. Swindoll in the completion of several books, a role I continue to enjoy. I also help other Christian authors on their writing projects. Past clients include Dr. Frank Minirth, Dr. John MacArthur, and John Eldredge.

In 2008, I wrote Redemptive Divorce to help Christians struggling in dysfunctional or dangerous marriages that are torn apart by the destructive behavior of an unrepentant partner. Our teaching ministry, Redemptive Heart Ministries, was inspired by the writing of the book and exists to equip pastors, counselors, attorneys, and laypeople who desire to help others restore broken relationships.

While ministry and work are very fulfilling, my greatest joy is my family. My wife, Charissa, and I reside in Frisco, Texas and have four adult children—Lauren, Parker, Robert, and Heather. Two have graduated college and are doing what they love; two are still laying the foundations for their dreams. Charissa and I lead single adults at Stonebriar Community Church and I volunteer as a chaplain at Centennial Medical Center.
